SKOLKOVO – Moscow School of Management

Russia needs a new generation of managers with an education tailored to the conditions of the new economy – a unique education that combines Western business know-how with local expertise, a program that will empower the country’s future managers to lead their companies to a new level of development.

In 2005, Troika Dialog founded the project to create a national school of management, SKOLKOVO, which is destined to be the main business school in Russia and a worthy alternative to Western institutions. The school aims to educate a new generation of managers to lead Russian companies in the new economy. The president of the school is Ruben Vardanian.

On September 21, 2006, a famous event took place: the ceremonial laying of SKOLKOVO’s foundation stone. Those attending the event, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and the project’s partner-founders, inspected a model of the school with 14 transparent foundation stones, each one bearing the name of a partner-founder. A fifteenth, symbolic stone was signed by President Putin.

SKOLKOVO is expected to accept its first students in 2008, when the construction of the campus is completed. But the school began pilot courses as early as autumn 2007: corporate programs at the request of major companies.

Troika Dialog, named the best employer in the finance sector (HR-brand of the year in the field "Finances and Insurance" in 2006), is interested in employing not only experienced, but also young specialists. By counting on the education of talented graduates, we wish to express our interest in educational projects that are directed at postgraduate studies. In October 2007 Troika Dialog announced the start of a project in cooperation with the State University – Higher School of Economics (SU-HSE).
