Ruben Vardanian is Troika Dialog's Board Chairman and CEO. An employee at Troika Dialog since the company's founding, Mr. Vardanian became head of the company in 1992. Since that time, Mr. Vardanian has solidified his role as a key figure in Russia's capital markets.

Mr. Vardanian belongs to the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, where he sits on the Management Committee. He also serves as Chairman of the organization's Corporate Governance Committee, as well as Arbitrator of its United Committee on Corporate Ethics.

In June 2010, Joule Unlimited, Inc. (pioneer in the production of liquid fuel from solar energy) elected Ruben Vardanian to its board of directors.

Mr. Vardanian is a Board member at several more entities: OJSC AvtoVAZ, the largest car manufacturer in Eastern Europe, OJSC KAMAZ, the largest truck manufacturer in Eastern Europe, OJSC AK BARS Bank, the largest bank in the Republic of Tatarstan, OJSC NOVATEK, the largest independent gas producer in Russia, and Standard Bank Plc, the leading financial institution in emerging markets internationally. He is Board Chairman of AmeriaBank, the leading bank in Armenia.

In his work as a Board member, Mr. Vardanian chairs several committees: the Personnel and Remuneration Committee (OJSC AvtoVAZ), the Corporate Governance and Compensation Committee (OJSC NOVATEK). He is also a Member of the Personnel and Remuneration Committees at OJSC KAMAZ and OJSC AK BARS Bank and a Member of the Audit Committee at OJSC NOVATEK.

Mr. Vardanian served as CEO at Rosgosstrakh from 2002–04; he then served as Chairman of the Board from 2004–05.
