Troika Dialog

Serguei Skvortsov, Managing Director at Troika Dialog, joined the company in 1998 as Managing Director of Investment Banking, before being appointed in 2003 as Executive Director of Investment Banking, Global Markets and Asset Management. Since April 2006, Mr. Skvortsov manages Troika Dialog's proprietary funds.

Mr. Skvortsov has overseen work on a number of landmark deals, including Efes Group’s purchase in 2003 of the Amstar brewery, the sale in 2006 of a major stake in World Class, the sale of a blocking stake in AvtoVAZ to Renault, the formation in 2008 of the strategic alliance between AvtoVAZ-Renault-Nissan, and establishing the exclusive strategic partnership in 2008 between KAMAZ, Daimler AG and Russian Technologies State Corporation. In addition, Mr. Skvortsov oversaw the fulfillment of a number of major private equity deals for companies such as Rosgosstrakh (insurance), Mostotrest (bridge construction), and Format (construction materials and packaging), among others.

Since 2006 Mr. Skvortsov has been a Board of Directors Member at KAMAZ, Russia's largest commercial vehicle producer. Since 2007 he has been an Advisory Board Member of Nestlé (Russia), a Board Member of AvtoVAZ since June 2008 and a Member of the Investment Policy Committee within the Supervisory Council of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies since September 2008.

From 1998 to 2008, as Troika Dialog’s IB Managing Director, Serguei oversaw the company’s operations in the power sector and played an active role in rebuilding the power industry. In particular, he oversaw the sale of controlling stakes in JSC OGK-4, JSC OGK-2, JSC TGK-10, JSC TGK-9, JSC TGK-7 and others.
