Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking, Head of Private Clients Division, Troika Dialog

Igor Sagiryan joined Troika Dialog in July 2009. Since October 2009, he is Head of the company’s Private Clients Division, overseeing new business development for Troika Dialog and managing strategic tasks for operations with institutional and private clients. In January 2011 Igor Sagiryan was appointed as Head of Investment Banking. His responsibilities include overseeing strategic development of the company’s investment banking department, capital raising operations on debt and equity markets, organization and implementation of M&A deals, deal structuring and investment consulting.

Igor Sagiryan joined Troika Dialog from Renaissance Group, where he worked for several years as President of the Company overseeing the Group’s key commercial ties, government relations, and the company’s Investment Banking and financial services unit.

Mr. Sagiryan in 1989 participated in founding Bain-Link, a premier Russian management consultancy where he worked as Managing Director until 1999. Igor Sagiryan boasts a diverse background in which he has founded successful businesses across different industries in Russia and abroad, participated in privatizations and business restructuring projects, and led large-scale deals involving Russian and foreign investors. From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Sagiryan served as Advisor to the International Department of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Prior to that, he was Head of Department at the Youth and Organization Committee of the USSR.

In 1991, Mr. Sagiryan became one of the first citizens of the USSR to graduate from the Harvard Business School. Igor also graduated from the Economics Department of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He completed graduate studies and defended his dissertation at the Institute for US and Canadian Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Igor holds a Ph.D in economics.
