What has been your career path at Troika?

The choice to work in the financial industry came easily to me. I graduated from the Finance Academy under the Russian Government (Moscow) with honors, hold a master's degree from René Descartes University in Paris, and always thought about a career in this sphere.

I acquired my first experience working on the stock market at the middle-office at BAREP Asset Management (today Societe General Asset Management) (Paris). After that I spent two and a half years as a trader in convertible bonds at BNP Paribas (Paris).

A call from Moscow in 2004 with an alluring offer to work at the Sales Desk led me to Troika to work in FI sales. Then I became one of two employees in the division, which was only getting started at the time. My current position in the company is Deputy Head of Global Markets.

What do you consider as your main achievement at Troika?

The correct answer would probably be that I participated in creating the Fixed Income unit "from the ground up." But I don't think that any one achievement is the "main" achievement. Each achievement was the main one whenever it was completed. On the following day, however, it became a thing of the past. The important thing is to stay relaxed and constantly strive toward something new, toward higher goals, so that achievements happen every day.
