Chief Operating Officer of Troika Capital Partners briefs on selection criteria for investee companies and newly launching alternative investment projects.

There is an ever increasing number of rapidly expanding mid-cap companies on the market. What investment opportunities are the most attractive for you?

In the first place, in our view, these are the companies actively engaged in the industries driven by rapidly growing consumer demand. We believe that the most promising are media and entertainment, retail and distribution, financial and consumer services. Thus, in the investment portfolio of one of our PE funds, Russia New Growth Fund, as an example, you may see Gameland media company, MDM Bank, PTI etc.

What are your selection criteria for investee companies?

Selection criteria such as market position, the scale of business and its growth prospects as well as a strong entrepreneurial management team are vital for us in determining the investment potential of a company. Unlike other private equity houses, Troika Capital Partners does not participate in privatization auctions, hostile takeovers, projects in real estate or natural resources. Our edge is in creating and transforming companies into industry leaders of the consumer market.
