MILKEN INSTITUTE GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2008 28-30 April 2008 Los Angeles The 2008 Milken Institute Global Conference brought together some of the most extraordinary people in the world – from scientists and business executives to journalists, academics and Nobel laureates – for three days to discuss the most pressing social, political and economic challenges. The Global Conference held annually attracted more than 3 000 participants from 50 countries. A record number of panelists – about 500 – took part in 130 Conference sessions. Discussions were focused on financial markets (particularly credit ones), energy, education, health care, media and philanthropy. |
