Second International Nanotechnologies Forum

Russia’s growing nanotechnologies industry provides unique opportunities for implementing cutting-edge innovations and realizing ambitious investment projects. According to ROSNANO, sales volumes for Russia’s entire nanotechnologies industry by 2015 should reach 19 bln euro, with an export volume of nearly 4 bln euro.

The second annual nanotechnologies forum represents the latest step toward these goals as well as a stimulus to new projects in the nanotechnologies industry. The schedule of events planned for the forum calls for a plenary session, panel discussions, academic-technology sections, and company presentations of devices and equipment. Participants can also look forward to academic-technological sessions as well as an intensive business program. Following tradition, Troika Dialog will be a prominent participant in the Forum. In particular, Andrei Sharonov, Managing Director of Troika Dialog Group, will act as moderator during the panel discussion “Investment instruments in the innovations economy (venture funds, seed funds, business angels).” In total, 377 speakers representing 36 countries will participate in the business program and academic-technological sections at the Forum.

Also included in the Forum will be an information exhibition and the Second international concourse of academic works by young scholars in the nanotechnologies sphere. One of the main events will be the first awarding of the annual International prize in the sphere of nanotechnologies RUSNANOPRIZE-2009, as well as the awarding of the Russian Youth Prize in the sphere of nanotechnologies.
